Barrington Stage Company has announced casting for the season’s outdoor productions Who Could Ask for Anything More? The Songs of George Gershwin and the world premiere play, Boca, and a line-up of Broadway stars who will perform in concert under a tent at BSC’s Production Center (34 Laurel Street).

Barrington Stage Company will produce a 2021 season that will feature four productions staged indoors at the theatre’s Boyd-Quinson Stage (30 Union Street) and three productions which will be staged outdoors under a tent at BSC’s Production Center (34 Laurel Street).

JACK has announced the nine artists selected for residencies at JACK. Six of the most lauded and influential performing artists across the worlds of pop, hip-hop, jazz, musical theater, and classical music will receive honorary doctorates from Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee in virtual commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 8.

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!
