The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for its 2020 season, which opens June 15 with Kander and Ebb's internationally-acclaimed Chicago. Producer Daryl Roth announced today full casting for the new Off-Broadway musical Between the Lines . The production will star Arielle Jacobs (Aladdin, Wicked), Jason Gotay (Evita, Bring It On: The Musical), Morgan Siobhan Green (Be More Chill), Vicki Lewis (Damn Yankees, Anastasia), Will Burton (Kiss Me, Kate; Hello, Dolly!), Jerusha Cavazos (The Prom), Pierre Marais (Aladdin), John Rapson (Les Misérables), Carrie St. Louis (Kinky Boots, Wicked), and Julia Murney (Wicked).

A celebration of the life and legacy of Broadway legend Harold Prince will take place on Monday, December 16, at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street). Beginning at 1:30 PM, the tribute is open to friends, family and the theater community, and will feature tributes and performances from colleagues and loved ones. Doors will open at 1PM. The Majestic is the 31-year home of Mr. Prince's record-breaking production of The Phantom of the Opera, the longest-running show in Broadway history.

Popular television actor Donny Most, best known for his role as jokester Ralph Malph on the classic sitcom Happy Days, will play Serge in Drayton Entertainment's upcoming production of the hit play 'ART'. The production will run at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse from October 2 to October 20.

The Mac-Haydn Theatre presents Howard Ashman and Alan Menken's sci-fi hit Little Shop of Horrors, running August 8 through 18.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of prolific producer, director, writer, and the individual recipient of the most Tony Awards in multiple categories in history, Harold Prince, who passed away on July 31, 2019 at age 91. To commemorate his life and work, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of Broadway theatres in New York for one minute on Wednesday, July 31 at exactly 7:45pm.

The Mac-Haydn Theatre presents the Flaherty and Ahrens masterpiece Ragtime, running July 25 through August 4.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team of a sparkling comedy in our summer season, The Underpants, by the Globe's second-most-popular playwright-in-residence, Steve Martin. Directed by multiple-award winner Walter Bobbie (Globe and Broadway's Bright Star, Broadway's Venus in Fur, Chicago) and adapted from Die Hose by Carl Sternheim, the play was originally commissioned by Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein when he ran New York's Classic Stage Company. This is the fourth Martin work in recent seasons at the Globe, from 2014's world premiere musical Bright Star, which went on to Broadway and five Tony Award nominations, to 2016's twice-extended, world-premiere comedy Meteor Shower, to 2017's smash-hit revival of Picasso at the Lapin Agile.

Westport Country Playhouse, in association with Hershey Felder Presents, will stage a musical tribute to Irving Berlin, one of the most successful songwriters of the 20th Century, with "Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin," from July 16 - August 3. 

Iconic television actor Cindy Williams, best known for her role as Shirley Feeney on the classic sitcom Laverne & Shirley plays the role of Mrs. Meers in Drayton Entertainment's production of the hit Broadway musical comedy, Thoroughly Modern Millie. Award-winning artists' collective Rogue Artists Ensemble is thrilled to announce the Inaugural Rogue Lab Readings Series, a four-day event that includes readings of seven new works written, directed, and designed by emerging LA artists, as well as post-show discussions and receptions. The reading series will feature new plays by 2018-2019 Rogue Lab playwrights Lisa Sanaye Dring, Eric Fagundes, John Guerra, Mildred Inez Lewis, Chelsea Sutton, and Jennie Webb, and a special new play presentation by writing team Taylor Coffman and Z. Lupetin.
