MTAP's Hot Metal Musicals Incubator presents its third installment of new musical theatre work-in-development with a public reading of The Storm with book, lyrics and music by Stephanie Riso. This free reading, featuring a cast of 15 and directed by Pittsburgh CLO's producing director Mark Fleischer, will be held on Sunday, January 15, at 6:00 p.m. in the Pittsburgh CLO's Charles Gray Auditorium, 130 CLO Academy Way in downtown Pittsburgh. Jacqueline E. Lawton's new political thriller Intelligence makes its world premiere at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. Under the direction of Daniella Topol (Round House's Ironbound), Intelligence explores the cost of deception and the consequences of speaking truth to power. Due to popular demand, the production has been extended for one week with eight additional performances and will run February 24-April 9, 2017 in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle.

Drury Lane Theatre announces complete casting for disco musical Saturday Night Fever, rewritten for the Drury Lane stage, featuring music and lyrics by The Bee Gees, based on the smash-hit Paramount/RSO Film and the story by Nik Cohn, and adapted for the stage by Robert Stigwood in collaboration with Bill Oaks. This North American version was written by Sean Cercone and David Abbinantiand is helmed by Tony-nominated director and choreographer Dan Knechtges. Saturday Night Fever runs January 19 - March 19, 2017 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The Press Opening is Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. A portion of the opening night tickets sales will be donated to ArtReach, a nonprofit providing access to the arts to underserved communities in the Chicago area.

His first professional Show was Romeo and Juliet At Bristol Riverside theatre.  His other theatre credits include Aladdin (Original Broadway Company), Five Guys Named Moe, Sophisticated Ladies, and Smokey Joes Cafe (National tours) West Side Story (International tour), Hairspray, King And I, Show Boat, 42nd Street, Damn Yankees, Hello Dolly, Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat, Wizard of Oz, White Christmas, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Producers, Music Man, and Sugar (Regional). Some of his influences are Sammy Davis jr. and Gene Kelly.

California Musical Theatre (CMT) President and CEO Richard Lewis announced that Scott Klier, currently Executive Producer and Chief Operating Officer, will become Producing Artistic Director as of December 1. Lewis said that Glenn Casale, CMT's Artistic Director since 2009, will transition into the role of Artistic Consultant and continue to direct shows at Sacramento Music Circus, as he's done for more than 20 years.

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) will present the world premiere of "Our Great Tchaikovsky," a new play with music featuring the compositions of Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with a book and performance by Hershey Felder.Directed by longtime collaborator Trevor Hay ("Hershey Felder as Irving Berling"), and produced by long-time collaborators Samantha F. Voxakis, Karen Racanelli and Erik Carstensen, Felder's newest work takes on Russia's most celebrated, and perhaps most mysterious, composer. "Our Great Tchaikovsky," the fourth selection of the 2016/2017 season, begins on Thursday, January 12, 2017 and plays throughSunday, February 12, 2017 with an opening night on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 7 p.m. on the Lyceum Stage Theatre at San Diego REP in Horton Plaza.
