The Center for the Arts at George Mason University continues the 2019/20 season this November and December with an array of dance, theater, opera, and music from around the world through programs from Great Performances at Mason, the Family Series, as well as signature events from Mason's College of Visual and Performing Arts.

New casting has been announced for the multi award-winning West End production of HAMILTON as the show enters its third year at the Victoria Palace Theatre. Also announced is the release of further tickets with the show now booking in London to 28 March 2020.

On Friday, November 1, the venue will welcome the star for an intimate and elegant evening spotlighting Christian's vivid theatrical life in London and New York. His autobiographical performance features songs by Noel Coward, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Paul McCartney, Sting, Annie Lennox, and Al Green. These are interwoven with personal and surprising anecdotes and stories that illuminate the musical material. Christian was a star dancer with The Joffrey Ballet in New York in the 60s and 70s. He has choreographed and designed costumes for ballet companies across the US and Europe, as well as designing stage wardrobe for Ann Reinking and Tina Turner.

They're back at last! Dillie Keane, Adele Anderson and Liza Pulman return to the Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall for a four-week Christmas season followed by a huge UK tour in the spring of 2020.

AMC Networks has viewers covered this holiday season as the second annual “Best Christmas Ever,” returns with its largest slate of holiday programming to-date featuring over 60 films and specials airing all day, every day, and this year, expands to all five of AMC Networks. Beginning Monday, November 25 through Christmas Day, the monthlong programming event will offer up more than 700 hours of holiday-themed movies, specials and family favorite films. The Washington Stage Guild returns to the Nobel Prize-winning George Bernard Shaw, with a new production of the first play by GBS ever presented by the Stage Guild, Candida. Subtitled a?oeA Mystery,a?? in it, a preacher and a poet are in love with the same woman. The former is her husband, the latter wants to woo her away, and both are shocked by her ultimate choice and the reasons for it.

The 72nd Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 10th at 8/9c hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. Ethel Merman was a Broadway institution known as the 'undisputed First Lady of the musical comedy stage.' After being discovered by Vinton Freedley as a singer at Brooklyn's Paramount movie theatre, she was signed to star in the Gershwin's new Broadway hit GIRL CRAZY where she stopped the show nightly with her performance of 'I Got Rhythm'.

North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional theatre, is proud to announce Broadway star and Raleigh native Lauren Kennedy will star in the February production of Mamma Mia!. Directing the musical, playing February 12-17 at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, is another North Carolina native, NC Theatre's new producing artistic director, Eric Woodall.

British actor Albert Finney has passed away at age 82 after a short illness, according to the BBC.
