The Library of Congress National Audio-Visual Conservation Center is announcing the full lineup of rare cinema and special guests to be featured at the inaugural Library of Congress Festival of Film and Sound. The new four-day film festival will be held June 15-18 in association with the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center at the American Film Institute's beautifully restored 1938 art deco theater in Silver Spring, Maryland.

In July, New Conservatory Theatre Center is ecstatic to welcome back the Kinsey Sicks for the regional premiere of Drag Queen Storytime Gone Wild! Following last December’s hugely successful run of their hit holiday show Oy Vey in a Manger at NCTC, the Kinsey Sicks’ newest production is hitting the Decker stage before beginning its international tour at Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August.

The Pulitzer Prize Board has just announced that English, by Sanaz Toossi has won the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Other finalists included: On Sugarland by Aleshea Harris and The Far Country by Lloyd Suh.

For the final show of its acclaimed 2022-2023 PNC Bank season, City Springs Theatre Company (CSTC) will bring Tony Award-recipient Baayork Lee back to Atlanta to helm the renowned Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, CATS. Ms. Lee directs and choreographs the production, running May 5-21, 2023, in the Byers Theatre at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center.

Organized by Darling Green in collaboration with Soft Network, Re: Scott Burton's Atrium Furnishment brings together a group of artists in dialogue with artworks and archival material from the estates of Scott Burton (1939–1989) and Rosemary Mayer (1943–2014). 

This multi format release includes a special edition 7” vinyl singles carry case containing all the hits, which spanned four dazzlingly successful years, kicking off with 1982’s Young Guns (Go For It) and culminating in 1986’s The Edge Of Heaven. Along the way, there was some of the most uplifting music of any era.

The American Theatre Guild will present one of the biggest hits in theatrical history, CATS. This production is part of the BROADWAY IN THOUSAND OAKS SERIES and will take the Bank of America Performing Arts Center stage May 11–14, 2023.

From April 27 to May 14, Theater for the New City will present an innovative August Strindberg Rep production of Strindberg's 'Creditors.' The 1888 drama will be updated to modern Long Island in this adaptation, which is newly translated and directed by Robert Greer.
