The Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center has unveiled their 2021-22 season featuring a captivating collection of music, dance, comedy, and speakers. Located on the campus of California State University, Long Beach, the Carpenter Center launches its 26th anniversary season on Monday, September 20, 2021.

Acclaimed playwright Tommy Jamerson brings “Amityville '74,” an original play inspired by the true story of the DeFeo murders, to the interACT stage, directed by Nicholas J. Clarey, with original music by Eddie Bean.

Co-produced by ROH and INO, and premiered in Covent Garden in 2020, the production is directed and designed by Antony McDonald. Performing under the baton of André de Ridder alongside the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Dublin-born Claudia Boyle leads the cast as Alice.

Verb Ballets has announced the 2021-22 roster of dancers. We welcome apprentices Isaac Hileman of Texas and Kia Jimmy of Canada. Cleveland School of the Arts graduate Demetrius Lee returns as a summer apprentice while he is attending Boston Conservatory. Local dancer Lily Cole, student of Inna Stabrova, joins as a trainee.

The world stage premiere of The Magician's Elephant will run in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre from Thursday 14 October 2021 to Saturday 1 January 2022 with press night on Tuesday 26 October 2021. Learn more about the production here!

City Theatre Company, Pittsburgh’s home for contemporary plays, has announced the details of the theatre’s 47th season of new works, taking place in-person beginning in September 2021. Reopening to audiences after 18 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic, City Theatre will fully produce six plays, live and in-person.

Lekan has previously worked at the Derby Theatre (Regional Theatre Young Director's Scheme) Old Vic (Old Vic 12), and the Young Vic, and has held positions including Resident Director on Hamilton and Co-Artistic Director (Up Next) at Battersea Arts Centre.

Welsh National Opera has announced that the Company will return to touring in Wales and England from Autumn this year. The details announced include touring opera productions, engagement and outreach work and orchestral concert activity.
