Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ NextGen Advocates will present NextGen Spotlight, a virtual concert featuring actor Jelani Remy and inspired by his successful path to Broadway. The show streams at 8 pm Eastern on Monday, September 13, 2021.

Prior to resuming his starring role of Eddie Kendricks in the Tony Award® winning production of Ain’t Too Proud, Jelani Remy will return to Feinstein’s/54 Below with a solo show on July 21 & 27 at 9:45 PM. 

The opening performance of Sweeney Todd by Hugh Wheeler with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim will begin Friday, July 23 at 7:30 PM. A preview performance will precede the opening on July 22 at 7:30 PM; matinee and evening performances will run through Saturday, August 7. Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and dates for Detroit ‘67, the final production in the Signature Features 2021 Season. Written by MacArthur Genius Grant Fellow Dominique Morisseau and directed by Candis C. Jones, Detroit ‘67 depicts abrupt changes to the lives of the Poindexter siblings during the 1967 Detroit uprising.
