Broadway and Vine, intersecting the best of Broadway with the best of Wine Country continued its second season Monday with Jelani Remy (Disney’s The Lion King, Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations).

On The Spot, the now 7-year-running improvised musical comedy show, is turning Monday night into an institution at the Broadway Comedy Club, and this month is partnering with Chandler Corley Essex (Swan Lake Rock Opera) to create a night of spontaneous theatre like no other.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 51st season with the hit musical Ragtime. This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. L. Doctorow’s best-selling novel of the same name. Ragtime will be presented June 1-26, 2022 (press opening: June 4) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Overture Center for the Arts will present the First National Tour of AIN'T TOO PROUD – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS. The new Broadway smash hit musical will play in Overture Hall from Tuesday, June 14 through Sunday, June 19 as part of the 2021/22 Broadway season.

Casting has been announced for the People's Light World Premiere production of Personality: The Lloyd Price Musical, celebrating the life, career and unforgettable songs of trailblazing Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legend, Lloyd Price (1933-2021).
