This spring and summer artists at Joe's Pub a?" a program and venue of The Public Theater a?" will shine a light on the breath of Latinx art. This group of artists explore music styles with roots in Mexico, Chile, Cuba, the afrolatino traditions of the Caribbean, and more. Seasoned ears will be able to discern the influence of a myriad of traditions while newbies will be granted delightful access to the nuances under the Latinx umbrella at Joe's Pub.

On Sunday March 1st at 3pm, Cerddorion Vocal Ensemble (Dr. James John, Artistic Director) will present the New York Premiere of The Book of Rounds - 21 Songs of Grace, a choral work by award-winning writer and October Project lyricist Julie Flanders and Emmy- award-winning composer Emil Adler, arranged by Keiji Ishiguri, with special guests from the Kaufman Music Center's Special Music School The 5th Grade and Vox Nova Boys Choirs (Emily John, Director), as well as members of the Queens College Vocal Ensemble and October Project vocalist Marina Belica.

MTC Music Academy presents a 5 week Vocal Masterclass featuring intensive technique coaching with Founder and Voice Teacher, Tegan Miller, as well as expert input from rest of the creative team, Music Director, Assaf Gleizner (Office the Musical) and Rep Coach, Andre Catrini (Astonishing Times of Timothy Cratchit). The classes will also include handpicked, personalized audition material for each student and a showcase for two Casting Directors, Holly Buzcek (HDB Casting/Wojcik/Seay Casting) and Alison Franck (Franck Casting), as well as the creative team. In this showcase, actors will present their new material and receive live, constructive feedback.

The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for its 2020 season, which opens June 15 with Kander and Ebb's internationally-acclaimed Chicago. Among the talented list are a mix of Muny favorites and newcomers. In addition to casting, a comprehensive list of design teams for each production will be released later this spring. Skylight Music Theatre today announced the cast and creative team for Ruddigore, or The Witch's Curse, presented January 3-19, 2020 in collaboration with Milwaukee Opera Theatre. Skylight celebrates its long history of producing the works of W.S. Gilbert (book and lyrics) and Arthur Sullivan (music) with an imaginatively reinvigorated production of this classic gothic operetta. Ruddigore will be performed in a special, limited run in the Studio Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.
