Seattle Center Announces NYE Activites
Ring in 2012 at Seattle Center. Enjoy the music of The Rhythm Nation, performing on Center House Stage, R & B, rock, dance and old school music from the 1970s – 1990s; sample a wide range of foods from mobile vendors; and take in the festive Seattle Center Winterfest outdoor lighting and indoor decoration, while you wait in anticipation for a brilliant display of New Year's fireworks off the 605-foot Space Needle.
Center House Food Court vendors will remain open while The Rhythm Nation plays. And starting at 8pm, if you venture outside to the South Fountain Lawn, you'll find an outstanding array of mobile food trucks and carts offering a feast of fine edibles.
Seattle Center Monorail has extended its hours to accommodate New Year's Eve revelers. It will remain until 1 a.m. However, due to safety regulations, the Monorail trains will not operate between approximately 11:15 p.m. and 12:20 a.m., when the Fire Marshall gives the "All Clear."
