Smokeshow at Pickle Studio at Greenside Riddles Court

Written by Natalie Rebenkoff and Sadie Shea, the play stars Natalie Rebenkoff, Sadie Shea, and Safwa Ozair, all current students and recent graduates of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

A sucker punch to the heart, Smokeshow centers around three friends - Caroline, Eilene and Jolene (Jo) - who discover that they have accidentally been dating the same guy. Naturally, they take it to the boxing ring. Over the course of the play their catty fight morphs into a surrealist boxing match. Smokeshow is a mix of chaos and backstabbing, offering a deep look at female friendships. Told through dance, flashbacks, and of course some fierce hand-to-hand combat, we ask questions such as, "Can you put yourself first without hurting others?" And "How loyal are we to this idea of 'girl code' and what even is it?"

This exciting new production is set to premiere at The Edinburgh Fringe with Greenside at Riddles Court in the Pickle Studio, from August 5th-10th at 22:00.
