SC Shakespeare Reaches Student Matinee Education Program Goal Santa Cruz Shakespeare is preparing to receive schools from Santa Cruz, Aromas and Pajaro Valley to Campbell Unified and Monterey County for their new education program Student Matinee Week premiering after the 2018 Summer Season. Our professional production of Romeo & Juliet will remain open for four student-only matinee performances running through September 4-7. These 10am matinees are for students and their chaperones only, and include a post-show discussion with the actors after each performance.

Santa Cruz Shakespeare will also be providing a thorough Teacher's Study Guide to help educators in their teachings of Romeo & Juliet in the classroom. This guide is filled with lesson plans and activities, pre- and post-shows questions, a character map, Q&A's with the director and costume designer of Romeo & Juliet, and much more! The Teacher's Study Guide is available for a free download on our website at santacruzshakespeare.org/matinee and is open to any person interested in learning more about this iconic love story and production.
