Sam Woodhouse to Retire as Artistic Director of San Diego REP

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) announced that Sam Woodhouse will step down as Artistic Director in September 2022 after leading the company for 46 years. At the end of this season, San Diego REP will have produced 333 productions under Woodhouse’s leadership - more than 50 of them were world premieres.

According to the Rancho Santa Fe Review, this marks Allison Spratt Pearce's professional directing debut. Catch Me if You Can at San Diego Musical Theatre is choreographed by Xavier J. Bush and music directed by Richard Dueñez Morrison.

SD High School Student, Sadie Stevens, Moves on to State Poetry Out Loud Competition

Sadie Stevens, a Junior at Valley Center High School in Valley Center, took first place in the 2022 countywide Poetry Out Loud competition on February 8th. This is Stevens’ third year participating in the program and this year, she will represent San Diego at the upcoming state finals. Xiaofan (April) Zuo of Canyon Crest Academy placed Second at the event.
