Capital Stage and Graham Sobelman present GRAHAM-A-RAMA: #NOFILTER, Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 2pm & 7pm. Sacramento composer/music director/producer GRAHAM SOBELMAN, is returning to CAPITAL STAGE, where he music directed The Behavior Of Broadus, for his second cabaret show this year.

As an antidote to the ugliness going on in the world today, #NOFILTER will offer a fun escape - featuring some of Sacramento's most talented voices sharing their stories and some of their favorite songs, the performers will include *:

GRAHAM-A-RAMA: #NOFILTER is an evening cabaret show, hosted by local music director Graham Sobelman, and features Sacramento's favorite stage performers singing from many genres and sharing stories. Shows are 70-80 minutes in duration and are recommended for mature audiences. Seating is limited at Capital Stage and advance booking is recommended. *Performers subject to change.

Graham Sobelman is a music director, pianist, and composer residing in Northern California. His music direction credits include Forbidden Broadway, I Love You, You're Perfect, ...Now Change (California Musical Theatre); Passion, Tell Me On A Sunday, Little Fish,Celebration, It's Only Life, tick, tick...BOOM!, They're Playing Our Song, [title of show] (New Helvetia Theatre); Ruthless, A Christmas Carol (Sacramento Theatre Company); The Who's Tommy (UC Davis); john & jen (Hillbarn Theatre); A New Brain (Cosumnes River College); The Behavior of Broadus (Capital Stage).

Graham also conducted Gregg Coffin's rightnextto me at B Street Theatre and has worked (since 2000) as the Music Director for the Music Circus summer children's programs. He started local cabaret series Graham-A-Rama in 2009 & just released (with Maggie Hollinbeck) Another Shade of Blue, covering the entirety of Joni Mitchell's 1971 masterpiece, Blue.

As a composer, Graham has completed Love Is Eternal, a song-cycle with lyrics by British lyricist David Kent, as well as a song-cycle utilizing the poems of Emily Dickinson. He has also written underscoring for A Tale of Two Cities, and Orlando for SacImpulse Theatre. He was commissioned in 2012 to write a piece for the Sacramento Gay Men's Chorus, called Voices Carry.
