Brown Arts Initiative And The Center For The Study Of Slavery And Justice Present Edouard Duval-Carrié Exhibition

The Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice (CSSJ) and the Brown Arts Initiative (BAI) at Brown University will showcase the work of internationally acclaimed Haitian American artist Edouard Duval-Carrié this fall. The exhibition of major works created since 2017 is curated by Anthony Bogues, CSSJ Director and Asa Messer Professor of Humanities and Critical Theory Professor of Africana Studies at Brown.
Gamm Presents A Warm, 'Wonderful' Holiday Treat For The Family

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) celebrates the holiday season with It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. Adapted by Joe Landry from the screenplay by Frances Goodrich, Albert Hackett, Frank Capra and Jo Swerling, this family friendly play is set in a radio studio on a snowy Christmas Eve in 1946, with radio personalities retelling the redemptive story of George Bailey. Damon Kiely, chair of performance for The Theater School at Chicago's DePaul University, makes his Gamm directorial debut transposing the movie classic from screen to stage, as if it were a live radio broadcast. A cast of 7 actors play multiple characters, with radio jingles and an onstage Foley artist creating real-time sound effects.

Trinity Rep Announces Auction For Tickets To THE PRINCE OF PROVIDENCE

Trinity Rep will be auctioning off one pair of premium tickets to the final Saturday night performance of its sold-out run of The Prince of Providence. Proceeds will support the Tony Award-winning theater's education programs. The tickets are for the performance on Saturday, October 26 at 7:30 pm, and are located in the fifth row center on the aisle. The online auction will open at 7:00 am on Tuesday, October 15 and close at 10:00 pm on Sunday, October 20. Bids can be placed at www.32auctions.com/trinityrep.
