Instead, of letting it just stop there the 43-year-old Pawtucket native decided that if the people of his community could not come to his annual event, he would bring it to them.

One week after the announcement that the Rhode Island Foundation will match the first $60,000 in contributions made to Trinity Rep between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve with a cash grant to the Food Bank, Ocean State Job Lot has committed to matching the second $60,000 in gifts to Trinity Rep with an equivalent donation of food.

The Rhode Island Foundation will match every donation the public makes to Trinity Repertory Company from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve with an equal grant to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, up to a total of $60,000. This philanthropic partnership replaces fundraising for the Food Bank that Trinity Rep does every year during live performances of A Christmas Carol at the theater.
