Artists Rep Extends THE MIRACLE WORKER

Artists Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce that The Miracle Worker will extend through January 10, 2016. The theatre is delighted that Portland audiences are excited to see this production of one of the most inspirational and triumphant stories of the human spirit ever told this holiday season. Following in the footsteps of our runaway hit musical Cuba Libre earlier this year, The Miracle Worker is the second show of Artists Rep's 2015/16 season that has extended prior to the official opening night.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER, a delightful family story about the true meaning of Christmas, will open at the Lakewood Theatre Company on Thursday, December 17 at 7:30 PM. Performances continue on December 18,19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 at 7:30 PM. There will also be matinee performances at 2:00 PM on Saturday Dec. 19 and Sunday Dec. 20. After the opening night performance on December 17th, there will be a hot cocoa and cookie reception.

Oregon Children's Theatre Receives James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation Grant

Oregon Children's Theatre (OCT) recently received a four-year funding commitment of $300,000 from the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation. The Miller Foundation's new Operating Support Initiative provides unrestricted grants to a cohort of 39 arts organizations throughout the state of Oregon. OCT and other awardees were selected based on criteria that included leadership, organization business model, and the alignment of these two vital factors with their near-term planning objectives.
