On Sunday October 9 The Folk Sessions returns to Prescott Center for the Arts (formerly PFAA) for the kick-off of PCA Presents, 'an enjoyable way to see the best local performers, as well as those from around the country at affordable prices,' presenting the award-winning, acoustic soul duo, Gypsy Soul about which People magazine wrote 'Their music stirs the soul and moves the spirit.' Opening the show will be the Folk Sessions radio host, singer-songwriter Tom Agostino.
West Side Story Opens at ASU Gammage

The tour of the smash hit Broadway revival of WEST SIDE STORY comes to Tempe. WEST SIDE STORY opens tonight at ASU Gammage and runs through October 2, 2011. Tony Award-winning librettist Arthur Laurents' Broadway direction will be recreated for the tour by David Saint, the Associate Director on Broadway. The original Jerome Robbins choreography is reproduced by Tony Award-nominee Joey McKneely (The Boy from Oz, The Life).
GOD OF CARNAGE Makes Southwest Premiere With Arizona Theatre Company, 10/22

From political correctness to character assassination, bad behavior has never been so good (or hilarious) as in Arizona Theatre Company's God of Carnage, winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play. Written by Yasmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton this production makes its Southwest premiere in Tucson at the Temple of Music and Art and runs from October 22 - November 12, 2011. It continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from November 17 - December 4, 2011. God of Carnage is sponsored in part by Shirley Estes. Arizona Theatre Company's season sponsors are I. Michael and Beth Kasser.
