Theater Works will hold its Master Works season general auditions beginning June 14, 2012. Shows will be directed by Robyn Allen (Artistic Director for Theater Works) and other guest directors. Youth Works will also be auditioning for Little Shop of Horrors, beginning June 30.

Puppet Works presents Dusty Locks and the Three Bears today, June 23rd and June 24th with four FREE performances at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts. Based on Susan Lowell's award winning book the play is a lively Western retelling of Goldilocks. She hadn't had a bath for a month of Sundays, so everybody called her Dusty Locks. But Trouble was her middle name.

Following the success of last year's Dirty Laundry Female Playwrights Festival, Little Black Dress INK and the Prescott Center for the Arts have partnered again to produce From the Mouths of Babes Female Playwrights Festival on Saturday, July 14 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. This year's festival line-up will feature productions of nine original plays, three of which are by Quad-City area playwrights.

The free performances plus a puppet 'make-n-take' will be at 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday, June 24th. Willy Wonka shares his riddles, rattles, and sweet fiddle-faddles with 5 kids who win a contest by finding the precious golden tickets in Roald Dahl's classic. This Kids Alive! At Theater Works production is sponsored by Cerreta Candy Company of Glendale and three lucky winners at each performance will receive VIP passes for a tour and chocolate pizza-making workshop. (And everyone will receive a sample of their FAMOUS mint chocolate). Willy Wonka runs today, May 31st - June 3rd in the Gyder Theater and tickets are $8 / person.

Theater Works' first camp is the exciting tale of THE GOATS GRUFF with over 40 speaking roles available. This camp kicks off the summer series with 3 weeks of fun, acting, encouragement and a FULLY-COSTUMED AND STAGED PRODUCTION with your child performing on stage. This play has plenty of roles to keep every actor (boys and girls) engaged and active and will provide a fun filled time for performers and audiences alike. Theater Works camps are open to all ages, budgets and schedules. Registration is now open and discounts are offered for siblings or multiple camps.
