Currently playing at the La Jolla Playhouse is The Nightingale, by the creative team behind the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening: Steven Sater (book and lyrics) and Duncan Sheik (music). Grammy winner and Promises, Promises composer Burt Bacharach is hard at work on a new musical with the Tony-winning book writer and lyricist of Spring Awakening, Steven Slater, according to published reports. The pair are creating a stir in Italy with several new singles.

A Hebrew-language production of the Tony Award winning hit 'Spring Awakening' will make its Israeli debut at the Beit Lessin Theatre Dizengoff in Tel Aviv starting April 22. Watch the video below for rehearsal footage!

The Laurence Olivier Awards were established in 1976 as The Society of West End Theatre Awards, and Lord Olivier agreed to have his name associated with them in 1984. The Awards are run by The Society of London Theatre but are adjudicated by panels that are equally made up of members of the theatregoing public and experts chosen for their knowledge and professional experience.
