The world premiere of The Balusters, a new play by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon, officially opened at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Watch in this video as the whole cast and creative team celebrate the special night!

Today we rewind to 2013, when Sting was preparing to bring The Last Ship to Broadway. The Last Ship played for 105 performances at the Neil Simon Theatre, where it opened on October 26. 

Today we rewind to 2010, when American Idiot opened on Broadway at the St. James Theatre, where it played for 422 performances. Directed by Michael Mayer, it starred John Gallagher, Jr., Stark Sands, Michael Esper, Tony Vincent, Rebecca Naomi Jones and Christina Sajous.

Last night, Michael C. Hall perfomed David Bowie's 'Lazarus' at the 2016 Mercury Prize ceremony. The song was featured on Bowie's final album Blackstar, which was nominated for a Mercury Prize.

The cast and crew of the new off-Broadway musical LAZARUS were devastated to learn of yesterday's news that the production's co-writer, David Bowie, had passed away from liver cancer at the age of 69.

David Bowie has shared a first listen to 'Lazarus,' the second single off his upcoming album Blackstar. The song will debut in full this Thursday, December 17th on the BBC and NPR.

The original cast and band of Sting's musical The Last Ship reunited on the 54 Below stage earlier this week to celebrate their run with an eclectic evening themed around seafaring songs.
