Jordan E. Cooper, the youngest Black American playwright on Broadway, has announced that the history-making and critically-acclaimed Broadway production of Ain’t No Mo’, presented by Lee Daniels, will extend through Friday, December 23, 2022 at the Belasco Theatre.

Playwright Jordan E. Cooper and producer Lee Daniels appeared on SHERRI this morning to discuss making history with Ain't No Mo' on Broadway. At the age of 27, Cooper is making his Broadway debut as the youngest American playwright in Broadway history. Watch the new video interview now!

Hulu announced today that the streaming platform has acquired the U.S. rights to Lee Daniels’ THE UNITED STATES vs. BILLIE HOLIDAY, which will debut as a Hulu Original film on Hulu on February 26, 2021. Sierra/Affinity will continue to handle international sales on the film.

Academy Award- and Golden Globe-winning actor, director and producer Forest Whitaker (“The Last King of Scotland,” “Arrival,” “Lee Daniels' The Butler”) will guest-star in a multi-episode arc on EMPIRE, beginning this fall on FOX. Whitaker will play “Uncle Eddie,” a charismatic music icon and bonafide hitmaker, who gave an unknown Lucious (Terrence Howard) his first radio airplay. Decades later, Eddie steps up for Lucious at a critical moment during his rehabilitation, and a grateful Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) invites him to produce a song in celebration of Empire Entertainment's 20th anniversary.

The new season of STAR kicks off Wednesday, September 27 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the girls - with Carlotta as their manager - continue to face roadblocks, despite their victory at Atlanta NextFest.
