Bernadette Peters, currently starring in Hello, Dolly! appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert tonight to talk about her return to Broadway as well as her work on Amazon's Mozart in the Jungle. The Portuguese Kid is now in previews ahead of an October 24, 2017 opening night at MTC at New York City Center Stage I (131 West 55th Street). Performances began on September 19. The show recently announced a one-week extension due to popular demand, and will now play through December 3.

Today, 17 October 2017, Adrienne Warren was announced by Tina Turner as the actor who will portray her in the world premiere of the new musical TINA. Directed by Phyllida Lloyd, TINA will open at the Aldwych Theatre in April 2018. Performances will begin on 21 March 2018 with press night on 17 April 2018. Produced by Stage Entertainment, TINA is currently booking to 16 June 2018.
