The Joyce Theater Foundation (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) is pleased to present the return of The Sarasota Ballet, following its highly successful, critically acclaimed 2016 Joyce debut, from August 14-19, 2018. Under the Artistic Direction of Iain Webb, The Sarasota Ballet will present two programs featuring works by Tony Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon, Sarasota Ballet Resident Choreographer and Principal dancer Ricardo Graziano. and Sir Frederick Ashton, whose work the company has become renowned for executing with such skill and strength. Indeed, one of the programs has been designed to celebrate Ashton, commemorating the 30th anniversary of his death, and will include a guest performance by Marcelo Gomes.

Encores! Off-Center will close out its 2018 season at New York City Center with Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope, starring Rheaume Crenshaw, Dayna Dantzler, Aisha de Haas, James T. Lane, and Wayne Pretlow. The ensemble includes Alexandria Bradley, Marshall L. Davis Jr., CK Edwards, Jeffry Foote, Shonica Gooden, Nina Hudson, Marla McReynolds, and Amber Barbee Pickens.

Following a critically acclaimed, sold out run of Singin' in the Rain, the 2018 Broadway At Music Circus season continues with Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, a show Broadway World called a 'daring, dazzling choreographic extravaganza.' With iconic choreography and a Tony®-nominated score, this rollicking musical based on the beloved MGM film features a crafty and assertive young bride living in the 1850s Oregon wilderness. She attempts to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law, but her plan goes comically wrong. Featuring high-kicking dance numbers, heartfelt romance and soaring songs. Performances of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers are Tuesday, June 26 through Sunday, July 1 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS will release How We React and How We Recover, the new album from three-time Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown. His first solo recording in over a decade is a politically-charged, far-reaching rumination on love, family and music. The album will be available in digital and streaming formats on Friday, June 29, with a physical CD planned for later this year. The release coincides with New York City Center's Encores! Off-Center production of Brown's landmark New York debut show Songs for a New World, which runs from June 27-30. For more information on the album, click here.

Broadway and West End stars Tony Sheldon is currently starring in Priscilla Queen of the Desert in Australia. The actor stopped by to chat with Rev. Bill Crews for his radio show Sunday Night with Bill Crews. Sheldon talked about the show, its significance, and his own career thus far.

Lindsay Mendez has won the 2018 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN'S CAROUSEL.

A darling of the Broadway community for years, on Sunday, CAROUSEL's Lindsay Mendez won her first Tony Award. In her acceptance speech, she told a story about how she was encouraged to change her last name when she began her career. Clearly she didn't, and she closed her speech saying, '...be your true selves and the world will take note. Thank you so so much.'

On Day 21 we celebrate a multiple Tony nominee who is currently being recognized for his work as Billy Bigelow in the classic musical, Carousel.

The cast of Dan Cody's Yacht features Kristen Bush (Taking Care of Baby at MTC, The City of Conversation), Meredith Forlenza (1984, The Winslow Boy), Laura Kai Chen (Her, "Days of Our Lives"),Rick Holmes (Junk, Peter and the Starcatcher), John Kroft (Dracula), Jordan Lage (Race, Speed-the-Plow), Roxanna Hope Radja (Ruins of Civilization at MTC, Torch Song), and Casey Whyland (Billy Elliot the Musical).

On Day 8 of 30 Days of Tony we celebrate the man behind Mean Girls, Casey Nicholaw, who is nominated this year for Best Direction of a Musical and Best Choreography!

On day three, we celebrate one of the first Tony sightings of a Best Featured Actress in a Musical nominee, Lindsay Mendez, who stopped by the 2010 ceremony to back up Sherie Rene Scott in their number from Everyday Rapture.
