Today we rewind to 2013, when Big Fish arrived on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre, where it played for 98 performances. With music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by John August, the musical is based on Daniel Wallace's 1998 novel, Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions, and the 2003 film.

In Mothers and Sons, a mother who pays a surprise visit to the New York apartment of her late son's ex-partner, who is now married to another man and has a young son. Challenged to face how society has changed around her - without her - she is finally able to see the rich life her son might have led. The cast is led by Tyne Daly and also features Bobby Steggert, Frederick Weller, and Grayson Taylor. Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall) directs.

Mothers and Sons, the new play by four-time Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally and starring Tyne Daly, is currently in previews at Broadway's John Golden Theatre, with an official opening night set for Monday, March 24, 2014.
