Now, Miranda has just announced that the duo will perform the song at March for Our Lives- a Washington, DC rally to end gun violence.

Last month, Broadway's new Evan Hansen, Taylor Trensch, officially began his performances in the hit musical Dear Evan Hansen! Trensch took over for Noah Galvin, who most recently played Evan following original star Ben Platt's departure from the show. Ben Platt took to Twitter today to share an audition tape of himself singing 'Maria' from West Side Story. A film remake by Steven Spielberg is currently in the works but no word on if that's the project Platt was auditioning for or his involvement, if any.
