On September 12, some of Broadway's brightest talents sang completely new arrangements of the hits of Amy Winehouse in the most recent concert of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series. More than 20 Broadway performers were accompanied by a full band playing brand new, original orchestrations of the English singer's greatest songs. The concert is the fifth of the series; previously honored were Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Stevie Wonder. On May 6, Broadway came together to support those affected by the Boston Marathon Tragedy at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Check out what stage veterans Jake Wilson and Alysha Umphress love, in a just-released musical short titled 'Shit I Love.' Written and directed by Wilson, the video features cinematography by Andrew Keenan-Bolger and music by Adam Wachter. Also featured are Ismaelpeter Casillas, Alicia Charles, Manny Leach, Meara Levezow, Alex Redelico, Dani Spieler and Samantha Zack.

Many performers understudy lead roles and rehearse weekly, preparing for their moment in the spotlight. But what if their moment never arrives? Just last week those understudies finally get to play those roles for a live audience in 'NOT At This Performance' at 54 Below.

Earlier this week, some of Broadway's best young talent sang dazzling new arrangements of songs from Beyonce's four hit albums, including a few selections from her previous group, Destiny's Child. Last night, September 17, Broadway stars united to sing the songs of a music legend in 'Broadway Sings Michael Jackson' at Le Poisson Rouge. The concert, which featured some of Jackson's biggest hits, was held at 9:30 PM.
