A slew of Broadway favorites have been tapped to perform in a Pride special on June 30 (11am). Presented by ABC News Live, The Broadway League, and Disney Theatrical Productions, 'PRIDE on ABC News Live' will be filmed in part from The New Amsterdam Theatre, current home of Aladdin.
The second international production of PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL will open in 2020 on London's West End. The hit musical PRETTY WOMAN will pay homage to legendary recording artist Roy Orbison by bringing the world-renowned masterpiece 'Oh, Pretty Woman', penned by Roy Orbison & Bill Dees, into the show in celebration of the 55th Anniversary of the venerable track.

Mara Isaacs, Director of Project Springboard: Developing Dance Musicals, today announced the recipients of the third annual residency awards: A Nation Grooves: A People's History of Hip-Hop, led by Kambi Gathesha (creator, director, choreographer), and Sinan Zafar (sound design, sonic dramaturgy); and The Quiet World, led by Charles Sutton (director, choreographer), Will Van Dyke (composer), and Matthew Greene (book). Both projects will be in residence June 10-28, 2019 in New York City.

The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization announced today the release of the fifth music video in their YouTube Series, "R&H Goes Pop!" A new display has opened at Planet Hollywood Times Square (1540 Broadway) honoring the late director Garry Marshall, which features special artifacts from the original workshop of the Broadway hit PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL, now playing to sold out crowds at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 W 41st Street). These artifacts include Garry Marshall's blue script binder he used on every film, his notebook from the first workshop and reading of PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL, and the original A-camera slate from the PRETTY WOMAN film, among other items. This special display will remain open until September 2019.
