ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE has announced the continuation of the EST 2015-2016 season. PLEASE CONTINUE by Frank Basloe, directed by William Carden, and presented in association with The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, will begin performances on February 3, 2016 and officially opens Thursday February 11, for a limited run through February 28, 2016. EST, in association with The Radio Drama Network, and Page 73 Productions will present the world premiere of KENTUCKY, by Leah Nanako Winkler, directed by Morgan Gould, which will begin performances in April for a limited run. Both productions will take place at EST's Curt Dempster Theatre (549 W. 52nd Street, New York, NY 10019).

Theatreworks USA, the nation's premiere producer of theatre for family audiences, held an invitation-only work-in-progress presentation earlier today of their new musical, PETE THE CAT, based on the best-selling book series by Kimberly and James Dean.

On Wednesday, June 3, A LITTLE NEW MUSIC returned to Rockwell: Table & Stage in Los Feliz for its 8th edition, showcasing the best of new musical theatre writing with an incredible cast of Broadway and local talent. Continuing their mission of premiering new and unpublished musical theater tunes, A LITTLE NEW MUSIC returns to Rockwell: Table & Stage in Los Feliz with a highly original program featuring Broadway and local talent. By popular demand, The York Theatre Company and producers Amy Engelhardt and Heather Shields, will present the March edition of the new musical theater game show called Tune in Time, hosted by Emily McNamara. Music direction is by Nate Buccieri, and Sheila Head is the annoyingly insistent timekeeper, on Monday, March 9, 2015 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Additional dates announced include April 5, May 4, with more to come. All performances will begin at 7:30 p.m.

New Haven's acclaimed A Broken Umbrella Theatre debuts its newest work, SEEN CHANGE!, at the Shubert Theatre in honor of the legendary theatre's 100th Anniversary. SEEN CHANGE! made its World Premiere at the Shubert on Thursday, February 19, with performances following tonight, Feb. 20 and Wednesday thru Saturday, February 25-28.

The winner of the 2015 Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater was announced earlier this week by the American Academy of Arts and Letters, which administers the Rodgers Awards: String, by Adam Gwon and Sarah Hammond. The show was awarded a Studio Production.

A wide array of the finest musical theatre talent will join acclaimed composer-lyricist Daniel Mate for three goodbye concerts at Don't Tell Mama this week, as he bids New York a fond farewell before relocating to the West Coast after ten years in NYC. Each concert will feature a diverse and unique set of Mate originals and cover tunes along with a different group of special musical guests. Max Friedman produces.

The 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals, presented by the National Alliance For Musical Theatre (NAMT), kicked off with THE 46TH MINUTE, a concert hosted by Lindsay Mendez and featuring performances by Heidi Blickenstaff, Doreen Montalvo, Mamie Parris, Bryce Ryness, and more. Musical presentations started October 23 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) and included Beautiful Poison, Cubamor, Great Wall, How To Break, Mary Marie, The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes, String and Stu For Silverton.
