The Alliance Theatre has announced the productions in its 54th season.  The new season will feature nine productions including four world premieres on its two stages, The Coca-Cola Stage and Hertz Stage.

The Alliance Theatre has announced the cast and creative team of its world premiere musical, TRADING PLACES. Inspired by the iconic and beloved 1983 Paramount Pictures film, TRADING PLACES is a hilarious and contemporary musical reimagining of the prince and pauper fable.

Debbie Allen in association with the Rhimes Family Foundation has announced the grand opening of the new Rhimes Performing Arts Center (RPAC) which will house the Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA) on Saturday, April 9 at 7pm. The evening will be presented by ABC Entertainment, ABC Signature and Netflix.

A co-production with Milwaukee Repertory Theater on the Coca-Cola Stage until February 27, 2022, Alliance Theatre shares that TONI STONE is considered 'the 'Best New Play of 2019' by The Wall Street Journal,' and 'is a funny and fascinating story of race, gender, and raw ambition… and an unheralded superstar you’ll never forget.' 

Flume confirms Stage 1 of the Flume World Tour today, with North American dates kicking off in April including Chicago, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and two nights at Red Rocks in addition to lineup-topping sets at Coachella, Governor’s Ball and Bonnaroo. Supporting acts include Floating Points, Channel Tres, Tinashe, Magdalena Bay and more.

Headlining performances on Saturday night feature a pair of internationally acclaimed singer-songwriters with Jorja Smith and PartyNextDoor, followed by headlining performances from two powerful female songstresses Jhené Aiko and Summer Walker who will help close out the festival on Sunday night. After a delayed opening, Toni Stone is finally game-on at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Directed by Tinashe Kajese-Bolden, it's the biographical telling of the first woman to go pro in baseball's negro leagues, Marcenia 'Toni' Stone. Hers is a story of overcoming the odds and shattering expectations. Toni Stone, written by Lydia R. Diamond, was declared the Best New Play of 2019 by the Wall Street Journal.
