The Grammy Award-winning Houston Chamber Choir, under the direction of Founder and Artistic Director Robert Simpson, announced its new 2022-2023 season, “A Heart for the Choral Art,” with season subscriptions now on sale to the public.

Vocal powerhouse Brooke Eden releases her brand-new track, “Left You For Me,” available on all digital streaming platforms. Brooke’s first track of 2022 is the debut song from her forthcoming EP Choosing You. The five-track EP follows Eden’s 2021 trilogy of releases, and is a personal statement of love, self-acceptance, and resilience.

Birdland presented singer/songwriter Wendy Moten in a very special concert on Monday, May 16.  Ms. Moten, best known for her remarkable run on “The Voice,” celebrated the songs of Richard Whiting, as well as pop standards by Janis Ian, Paul Simon, and an impromptu duet of “Bye Bye Blackbird” with Broadway’s Jessica Vosk.

Lewis joins Sun Records compatriots Cash, “Cowboy” Jack Clement, Phillips and Elvis Presley in the Country Music Hall of Fame. He is also the fourth member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s founding 1986 class of inductees to also gain membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame, along with Presley (1998) and Ray Charles (2021).

BIRDLAND THEATER will present pop/jazz vocalist and songwriter Liam Forde – celebrating the release of his first album Great to Be Here – on Monday, June 13 at 8:30 PM.

The new tour will kick off on October 15 in Greenville, SC, making stops in 43 U.S. cities including New York’s Madison Square Garden, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena before concluding in Seattle, WA on March 17.  Underwood will be joined on THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR by special guest Jimmie Allen on all dates. The Coppell Arts Center has announced its 2022-2023 presentation season, featuring nine thrilling productions. Following an incredible opening year, the Center’s second series will be one for the ages.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present Nashville vocalist Wendy Moten – best known for her 2021 run on NBC’s “The Voice” – in a special concert on Monday, May 16 at 7:00 PM. Her show will include songwriter Richard Whiting hits including “He’s Funny That Way,” “My Ideal,” “Miss Brown,” and “Too Marvelous For Words.”

“Being A Woman (Is Like Being The Sun)” was written by Caroline, and features an incredible group of all-female Bluegrass musicians including GRAMMY Award-winning artist Alison Brown (producer/banjo), Rebecca Frazier (guitar/vocals), Kate Lee O’Connor (fiddle/harmony vocal), Mary Meyer (mandolin), and Missy Raines (bass).

A1A - The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show is coming to M Resort Spa Casino this summer for a live performance inside the Pavilion on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Originally born in 1991, the band won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest for Margaritaville Records in 1992, and that is when the ball started rolling.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Amanda McBroom in her new show “Crimes of the Heart” on Monday, May 2 at 7:00 PM. McBroom’s concert will feature songs of passion, politics, and just plain love, written by the likes of Stephen Sondheim, Irving Berlin, Leonard Cohen, and of course, Amanda McBroom.

Today, country pop singer-songwriter Caroline Jones announced that she will rejoin multi-platinum, GRAMMY Award-winning Zac Brown Band as a special guest band member for their “Out In The Middle Tour,” which will travel to 34 cities across the U.S. and Canada from April 22 to November 19.
