Producer Chris Sax and Associate Producer Shaun James present a duet of new works by Tommy LeVrier at Theatre for the New City (Crystal Field, artistic director):

 Writer/performer Irma Herrera will return to the stage of The Marsh Berkeley this fall with her solo work, Why Would I Mispronounce My Own Name? Weaving history and comedic insights into stories about names, this hit solo show sheds light and throws shade on societal prejudices and assumptions.

On the Verge Theatre has announced the cast for Runaways, playing August 5 – August 21, 2022.

The Andes Dance Collective, founded by dancer/choreographers Gloria McLean, Columbine Macher, David Capps and composer/performer Marshall Coid, presents the DELAWARE COUNTY 2ND DANCE FILM FESTIVAL AND WORKSHOP, bringing new dance and music events to the Catskills Delaware County region.  This year, in two 4-day weekends, July 21-24 and August 4-7, the Festival will include two live dance/music performances (premieres), film screenings, and dance workshops.

Hollywood icons Tony Todd (the original “Candyman”), Bai Ling (“The Crow”), and Robert Picardo (“Star Trek: Voyager”) will star in the upcoming social media themed horror film “WEREWOLF GAME.” Joining them are the also previously announced Lydia Hearst (“Z Nation”) and Teala Dunn (“Are We There Yet?”). 

Gulfshore Playhouse, Naples' premier professional theater and nationally recognized LORT theater member, will present the suspenseful and provocative political thriller, “The Invisible Hand.” Written by Pulitzer-prize winning playwright Ayad Akhtar and directed by Kristen Coury, this show will run March 26 through April 16, 2022 with previews on March 24 and 25. 

The life and career of Broadway veteran Mary Ellen Ashley was recently highlighted in a short documentary film, Just a Broadway Baby: Mary Ellen Ashley. The film celebrated its World Premiere as part of The Oregon Documentary Film Festival on January 22nd where it won Best Picture out of over sixty selected films.

Visceral Abstractions, the Brooklyn-based absurdist circus arts and theater collective is to perform Notes From The Void — a work-in-progress show for three performances beginning tonight, Thursday 21 Oct at Liminal Space.

4thU Artivists, a New York City-based benefit performance group, will present their Fall production, Dear ONE: Love & Longing in Mid-Century Queer America by playwright Joshua Irving Gershick, November 5th & 6th as a live staged production streamed to a virtual audience only.

WAM Theatre presents the US premiere of KAMLOOPA: AN INDIGENOUS MATRIARCH STORY by Kim Senklip Harvey, winner of Canada's prestigious Governor General's Award for English Language Drama, directed by Estefanía Fadul (WAM's Native Gardens, The Oregon Trail). 

Darrel Alejandro Holnes, Latinx Playwrights Circle, and Pregones/PRTT have announced that the playwrights selected for this year's Greater Good Commission and Festival are Dominic Colón, Lily Gonzales, Tavi Juárez, Phanésia Pharel, and Andrew Rincón.

JCS Theater Company and Spin Cycle will present ADJUST THE PROCEDURE, a new play by Jake Shore (The Devil Is On The Loose With An Axe In Marshalltown, Holy Moly, and Down The Mountain And Across The Stream) conceived during the pandemic and created with Zoom theater in mind.
