Ibsen's “A Doll's House” continues its August run at St. John's Lutheran Church on Christopher St. in the West Village. The play opened Thursday night, August 8th, to an enthusiastic full house. The cast of 'ANNE FRANK, a musical', based on Anne Frank's life will feature 12 artists on stage to recreate Anne Frank's life filled with the touching music and lyrics written by Jean Pierre Hadida. This production marks the U.S Off-Broadway Premiere of this successful French musical which will be performed for the first time in English (adapted by Dylan Hadida). Directed and produced by David Serero, this new Off-Broadway production will take place at the Center for Jewish History (15 West 16th Street New York 10016), originally produced by Francine Disegni for Broadway Mad Production, Simon & Michal Kalfon.

Based on a true story, it is written by Richard Roy (Richard III with Denzel Washington) and Eric C. Webb, directed by Thomas G. Waites (Awake and Sing! starring Frances McDormand, King Richard III starring Al Pacino), and stars Richard Roy and Connor Chase Stewart.

Matthew Ethan Davis, who kept them laughing a month ago with Sleep At Your Own Risk, now scares us with Faster Than Shadows, directed by Ivette Dumeng and featuring Meghan E. Jones, Alfredo Diaz and Bryan James Hamilton; with lighting by Gilbert Pearto and sound by Bryan James Hamilton.

The world's tallest and hairiest drag queen and her band, the Martha Graham Cracker Cabaret, make their Wilma Theater mainstage debut with their trademark masterful musical stylings and uproarious comedy. Played by Pig Iron Theatre Company co-founder Dito van Reigersberg, Martha Graham Cracker has been hailed as the 'drag queen king of Philadelphia' by The Philadelphia Inquirer and received Philadelphia Magazine's Best of Philly award for her one-of-a-kind unscripted show. This June, she will grace the stage of the Wilma for two groundbreaking performances, including a Martha Graham Cracker show like never before: a matinee performance for children and the young at heart. Tickets are on sale for this limited engagement event, running from June 28-June 29.

'THE GOOD OLD DAYS' -a dark comedy by playwright Renee Flemings will be read as part of the K/Q Playwrights Group new works series on Thursday, March 28th @ the East Midtown Plaza Community Room (320 East 25th Street) in the Kips Bay section of Manhattan at 7:00pm. The play focuses on the Brantley family attempts to come together after years of living separate lives to celebrate the honor their dearly departed father is receiving from the city. The free,informal reading featuring Richarda Abrams*, CK Allen, Aja Downing* Ian Eaton*, Laura Johnston* (* Appearing courtesy of Actors' Equity Association.) will be followed by a talk back with light refreshments.

New Jersey Theatre Alliance, in partnership with New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark, announces the return of NJPAC Stage Exchange for a fifth year. The program gives established playwrights an opportunity to hear commentary from the public about their new works at a special sneak peek reading event on Friday, March 8 at NJPAC.

These plays could be anything: comedy, drama, dance, games, songs, rants, personal, political, experimental - and stuff there just isn't a name for yet. The order of the plays is up to the audience - as we all work to get this chaotically succinct hour of honest performance complete!

The National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Jennifer Fawcett's award winning Apples in Winter opens this weekend at Centenary Stage Company. The limited performances run November 8 through November 18 in the Lackland Performing Arts Center at 715 Grand Avenue Hackettstown, NJ. Directed by Mikaela Kafka, the production stars Colleen Smith Wallnau.
