On Monday, September 20, President Bill Clinton attended a reading of 'Waiting for Lefty' at the famed Neighborhood Playhouse for an event to celebrate Sanford Meisner, who first directed the play on Broadway, and the return of in-person classes and the completion of the Phase One building renovation.

The famed Neighborhood Playhouse will host a special event on Monday, September 20 to celebrate the re-opening of the school for in-person classes and unveil the first phase of capital improvements made over the last year to its iconic facility at 340 East 54th Street.

Tawkin' With the Roses, the new weekly talk show hosted by veteran actress Bonnie Rose and cabaret star Stephen S. Miller (aka “Mama Rose”), will welcome Julie Hays as the guest for the next episode of the show on Wednesday, March 3rd.

However, just like the stage show, the order in which these plays are performed is entirely up to the audience.

Wynn Handman, the famed New York acting teacher and Artistic Director of The American Place Theatre, died at home April 11, 2020 of Covid-19 related pneumonia. He was 97.

Performances begin Wednesday, March 11 and continue through Sunday, March 29. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Zoe Caldwell, four-time Tony Award-winning Broadway actress, died peacefully at the age of 86 at her home in Pound Ridge, New York, on Sunday, February 16, 2020.
