The Denver Center for the Performing Arts Theatre Company has announced the full casting and creative teams for the world premiere production of Laughs in Spanish by Alexis Scheer and Yussef El Guindi’s Hotter Than Egypt.

Beginning May 19, Creede Repertory Theatre (CRT) will produce its 58th season, which includes comedy, drama, romance, a world premiere and something for the entire family. CRT will continue to champion its thriving educational and audience engagement programming.

Cleveland Play House will present The Great Leap, a fast-paced, historically rooted sports drama written by Lauren Yee. Directed by Esther Jun, this suspenseful show will run from October 29 to November 20, 2022 in The Outcalt Theatre, located in the heart of Playhouse Square. The second production of CPH's 107th season, The Great Leap features actors Eric Cheung, Amanda Kuo, David Mason, and Reuben Uy.

Denver's campiest and quirkiest holiday tradition, Camp Christmas, returns for its 4th year with a new VIP experience featuring guided tours for the artsy Camper with creator Lonnie Hanzon or for the spirited Camper with Denver Drag Queen Dixie Krystals, available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 6pm and 7pm at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park.

The Santa Fe Opera will present the world premiere of This Little Light of Mine, a new opera about the life of voting rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer. The one-act opera is composed by Chandler Carter with libretto by Diana Solomon-Glover. Under development since 2017, the piece is commissioned by the Santa Fe Opera and its Opera for All Voices (OFAV) consortium partners.

CalArts Center for New Performance (CNP) kicks off its 20th anniversary season on Thursday, September 29, 2022, with the world premiere of Scene with Cranes, written by acclaimed playwright Octavio Solis, directed by Chi-wang Yang. It will run from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1, 2022 at the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater (REDCAT) in downtown Los Angeles.
