The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver (MCA Denver) and DCPA Off-Center today announced the return of the beloved long-running series Mixed Taste, each Wednesday at 7PM from July 13 through August 17, 2022. 

CATS is Lauren Louis' first national tour! She worked for Disneyland as a principal vocalist & dance swing while getting her Musical Theatre BFA from CSU Fullerton.

The DCPA Off-Center has announced the full casting for the world premiere immersive production Theater of the Mind by multi-award-winning artist David Byrne and writer Mala Gaonkar running August 31 – December 18, 2022.

The DCPA Theatre Company has announced the full casting and creative team for Tarell Alvin McCraney’s Choir Boy in the Kilstrom Theatre running April 22 through May 29, 2022.

The project was broken into three phases, the second of which required the DCPA to embark on its first-ever capital campaign. “A Grander Opening” launched on June 5, 2018 with a goal of $17 million.

International City Theatre presents the The Legend of Georgia McBride, a crowd-pleasing, music-filled, laugh-out-loud comedy by Matthew Lopez. Performances take place June 10 through June 26 at ICT's home in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Two low-priced previews are set for June 8 and June 9.

Denver Center for the Performing Arts Cabaret announces two shows for the summer lineup at The Garner Galleria Theatre; Rockin' and Rollin' with Miss Rhythm: The Story of R&B Legend Ruth Brown plays two weekends only June 3&4 and June 10&11, and Dixie is back where it all started with Dixie's Never Wear a Tube Top While Riding a Mechanical Bull (and 16 Other Things I learned while I Was Drinking Last Thursday) June 22 through July 17. The new Theatre Company season kicks off performances on September 9 and will feature seven mainstage productions including the musical The Color Purple, William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, and a new production of the audience-favorite The 39 Steps.

Oh look, another movie turned musical no one was asking for! When a film is adapted for the Broadway stage (which is almost a given nowadays), I'll get excited if it's a classic I can't wait to see updated and reimagined. The trouble with Tootsie is...I guess I just didn't care from the start.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) has announced the return of the Education program, Shakespeare in the Parking Lot, kicking off its seventh season this spring. Shakespeare in the Parking Lot will go on tour throughout the Denver metro area to perform two free abridged versions of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream.  

North Carolina Theatre has announced the full cast for Ring of Fire with music and lyrics by Johnny Cash directed by Randy Redd, who was a part of the Original Broadway cast of Ring of Fire.  Performances will run from April 29 – May 8 at A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

The Latinx Theatre Commons today announced the 2022 LTC Comedy Carnaval at Su Teatro Cultural & Performing Arts Center.

As of March 28, 2022, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts will end its COVID vaccination and mask policy for all indoor seated theatrical performances.
