The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival announced today performance dates and casting for its 2021 Summer Season, its final at Boscobel House and Gardens. The season will begin on June 24, 2021 with The Most Spectacularly Lamentable Trial of Miz Martha Washington by James Ijames, which will conclude on July 30.

Estelle Parsons will be honored, along with a diverse group of six other remarkable women theatre artists, at the League of Professional Theatre Women’s Theatre Women Awards virtual gala. This major event in the LPTW calendar will be presented online via Zoom on Monday, June 7 at 7pm.

Keen Company Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein today announced the World Premiere of a newly commissioned audio play Radio Nowhere by playwright Kate Cortesi, beginning Friday April 23rd at 7pm EST for FREE.

The Homebound Project has announced that it will return on January 27–31 with its sixth edition. Music icon Sting and actors Paul Sparks and Eden Malyn join the previously announced team of actors, playwrights, and directors.

At this time of national trauma and unrest, The Homebound Project has decided to temporarily postpone the Sixth Edition of its online theater initiative, which was scheduled to stream online January 13–17, 2021.

Following its debut on May 6, 2020, The Homebound Project has announced the lineup for a surprise sixth edition airing January 13–17, 2021. Co-creators Catya McMullen and Jenna Worsham, along with their all-volunteer team, have also announced that this online theater initiative brought together 137 artists, and premiered 56 new theater works.

A who's who of stage, screen, and music stars came together virtually last night to help The 24 Hour Plays celebrate its milestone 20th Annual Broadway Gala. Hugh Dancy, Rachel Dratch, Carly Hughes, Gillian Jacobs and Bebe Neuwirth were among the incredible talents who teamed up to write, rehearse, produce, and perform six original plays in 24 hours. The performance was entirely LIVE and streamed in living rooms around the world!

Today, The 24 Hour Plays expanded the list of stage, screen and music stars that will join the 20th Annual The 24 Hour Plays Broadway Gala! As previously announced, a virtual performance will stream LIVE on Tuesday, December 1st at 8:00 PM. Joining the lineup are Tommy Dorfman, Clark Gregg, Carly Hughes, Gillian Jacobs, Rahne Jones, and more.

Playwrights Horizons has launched a new literary magazine, Almanac. Established at a time of pandemic and protest, Almanac is a new kind of publication-one in which a theater and the artists who comprise it come together to take stock of contemporary American politics, culture, and playwriting.

MCC Theater announced today its new streaming platform MCC On Demand, launching October 28. MCC On Demand will be a one-stop streaming platform for on demand access to MCC's virtual content. Subscribers will be able to login and have immediate access to content available in their subscription.

Today on Friday, October 16th at 7pm, a special virtual reading of 'One Empire, Under God' - Anthony J. Christine Jones (Creator and Artistic Director of Theatre For One), Jenny Koons (Co-Artistic Director for Here We Are), and Mara Isaacs (Producer) announced today that Theatre for One: Here We Are is adding seven performances to accommodate overwhelming ticket demand with the final performance now scheduled for Thursday, October 29.

Theatre for One will launch its first ever virtual experience this month with Theatre for One: Here We Are, a commission by Arts Brookfield with additional support from Thomas M. Neff.   

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, performer, producer, and actor Janelle Monáe has joined the final edition of The Homebound Project as a special guest.
