Theatr Clwyd has announced new free and low-cost online events. Highlights include online Q&A's with former EastEnders and New Tricks star Tamzin Outhwaite (15 March/free), and with The West Wing's Richard Schiff (27 February/free), whose 2020 date was postponed after he contracted Covid 19.

WHAT A CARVE UP! Extends Until 2 December

The Barn Theatre in Cirencester, the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield and the New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich have today announced that following overwhelming critical and public acclaim their digital co-production of Henry Filloux-Bennett's reimagining of Jonathan Coe's critically acclaimed satirical novel, What a Carve Up!, has been extended until 2 December.

Tamzin Outhwaite Replaces Janie Dee In THE HAUNTING OF ALICE BOWLES

Janie Dee has had to withdraw from the production of The Haunting of Alice Bowles for personal reasons, but the producers, Original Theatre Company, have announced that Tamzin Outhwaite will now be playing the titular character in this new supernatural thriller by Philip Franks, adapted for the first time from the M.R. James chilling short ghost story, The Experiment.

The Jamie Lloyd Company presents Anya Reiss' adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. The cast is led by Emilia Clarke (Nina) with Danny Ashok (Medvedenko), Robert Glenister (Sorin), Tom Rhys Harries (Trigorin), Daniel Monks (Konstantin), Tamzin Outhwaite (Polina), Patrick Robinson (Dorn), Seun Shote (Shamrayev), Indira Varma (Arkadina), and Sophie Wu (Masha). The production opens at Playhouse Theatre on 19 March, with previews from 11 March, and runs until 30 May.

Full Cast Announced For THE SEAGULL At Playhouse Theatre

BWW Review: SWEET CHARITY, Donmar Warehouse

Set in 1960s New York, Sweet Charity centres around unlucky-in-love dance hall hostess, Charity Hope Valentine who has dreams of making a better life for herself. This revival of Cy Coleman, Dorothy Fields and Neil Simon's show marks Josie Rourke's final production as Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse, and it's safe to say Rourke isn't going out quietly!
