Starcrawler Release New Single, Begin Touring Next Week
by Abigail Charpentier - Sep 26, 2019

Starcrawler are a band of misfit rock & rollers for a new generation. The visceral, not-to-be-missed experience of a Starcrawler show perfectly melds a classic arena rock show with the sweat and grit of a club gig, typically featuring frontwoman Arrow de Wildecovered in blood and writhing across the stage in a bejeweled jockstrap and guitarist Henri Cash throwing his guitar and jumping into the crowd to perform. See for yourself as their headline tour kicks off in North America on October 5 in San Francisco and concludes with a homecoming show at Los Angeles' The Fonda on November 9. The run includes two special shows at Third Man Records - Hell Night in Detroit and Halloween in Nashville, TN, and continues later this year throughout the UK, Europe and Japan.

Starcrawler Announces Sophomore LP DEVOUR YOU
by Kaitlin Milligan - Aug 1, 2019

To kick off the album announcement, Starcrawler share the heavy, swinging and brutally catchy “Bet My Brains” alongside its manic and murderous music video. “That song came from thinking about the tunnel people in New York and Vegas and the Catacombs in France, and the underground village of people who live in the sewers of the L.A. River,” says de Wilde. “I was fascinated with the fact that there is a whole other world happening right under our feet.” Guitarist and vocalist Henri Cash adds: “Arrow and I hadn't even talked about it yet, but I'd already written something about the same thing—about how these people's eyes adapt to pitch-blackness, and they end up going crazy from never seeing the sunlight.” Check out the song and the Jellyclaw-directed video below!

Lauren Ruth Ward New Single HUNGRY BARBER via CoS Feature
by Tori Hartshorn - Apr 4, 2019

Today, Lauren Ruth Ward struts her 70s psych chops and blends enchanting folk stylings on poignant new track, “Hungry Barber” via Consequence of Sound “Origins” feature. Described by Lauren and longtime collaborator Eduardo Rivera, “Hungry Barber” is “...a departure from our usual sound and process. The main percussive elements were done by tapping and flipping the pages of my songwriting journal. First pass, stream of conscience lyrics about the inner dialogue when chasing the night. Recorded by Eduardo and produced by us both. It's the antithesis of what we songwriters are asked to do: write a 3 minute-ish song, use budget to work with bigger names, hire players, etc. Ed and I wanted to see what it would sound like to create in-house and not think 'what genre are we?' or 'what will the label think?'”
