GIRLSCHOOL's third annual 100% women-identified-fronted three-day music and ideas festival will take place at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles from February 2 – 4, 2017. The lineup includes Shirley Manson + The Girlschool Choir, Jay Som, Kristin Kontrol + The Kids (with special guests including Best Coast), Leikeli47, Moon Honey, Mereba, Amber Coffman, BOSCO, Boyfriend, FAARROW, Lauren Ruth Ward, Soccer Mommy, Low Leaf, Akua, Pinky Pinky, A.W., Mary Lattimore, Nick + Navi, Drum & Lace, Desi Mo, Chelsea Jade, and Polartropica. DJ sets by Zuri Adia, Rituals of Mine, and Kim + The Created. New lineup additions include a cameo by Best Coast, plus sets by Bosco, Leikeli47,  and Lesser Pieces, and DJ sets by Erika Kayne, Myra Hasson, Denise Hewitt, and Rachael Pazdan (The Hum). Speakers include Carrie Brownstein, a poetry stage curated by Jack Jones Literary Arts, a panel on activism led by Whitney Bell, a Talking Circle by STRONGER, a panel on immigration and creativity by Eve Barlow, and a songwriting workshop by MUNA. Net proceeds will benefit WriteGirl. 

After 10 days and 123 feature films, the 2018 Sundance Film Festival's Awards Ceremony took place last night, with host Jason Mantzoukas emceeing and jurors presenting 28 prizes for feature filmmaking in Park City, Utah.

Last night, The Trevor Project hosted its 2017 TrevorLIVE Los Angeles gala at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., where it honored fashion designer, award-winning screenwriter, producer, and film director Tom Ford with the Hero Award, and Tony Award winning actress, singer and author Kristin Chenoweth with the Icon Award. The evening kicked off with special opening remarks from Lisa Kudrow and Kristin Davis, and featured performances by Grammy-nominated band Garbage, Broadway legend Shoshana Bean, and Neon Trees. Alternative singer-singwriter Jenn Vix presents the new video for 'Complicated Man', the lead track off her new 'Unlocked' EP. The video was directed, produced and edited by Renan DeAraujo, a 27 year old, Brazilian filmmaker who loves to tell stories with light and rhythm. The video features Jenn Vix herself, along with actor Michael French.

Garbage today shared a music video for their new single “No Horses”. Directed by Pancake Mountain creator Scott Stuckey, the politically charged clip can be seen HERE (TK). “No Horses” was released last month and is available now HERE. All of the band's profits from sales and streaming of the single will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross through the end of 2018.
