Vikar is a lost soul journeying through Hollywood 1969, a land of myths, beauty and monsters. The studio system is in decay, and a new generation of brash filmmakers are on the rise. With his shaved head marked by a tattoo from his favorite film, 1951's A Place in the Sun, Vikar is a bizarre presence even amid the dreamers and players. He finds work first building sets, then as an apprentice editor obsessed with wielding the power of moving images. As his involvement in the creative process deepens, so does his fascination with a tragic screen goddess named Soledad. Together they discover just how hard it is to live in the blurred boundary between reality and illusion.

To honor its recent Emmy nominees, SHOWTIME has released the premiere episodes of ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA,BLACK MONDAY and WHO IS AMERICA? for free online, on streaming platforms and on demand. The network was honored with a total of 18 Emmy nominations, including 12 nominations for ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA which earned a nod for Outstanding Limited Series. Freshman comedy BLACK MONDAY received an Emmy nomination for series star Don Cheadle for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The groundbreaking satirical series WHO IS AMERICA? created and starring Sacha Baron Cohen was honored with three Emmy nominations including Outstanding Variety Sketch Series. Seth MacFarlane's THE ORVILLE Heads to Hulu

Emmy Award-winning actor, animator, filmmaker, musical artist and comedian Seth MacFarlane announced today at San Diego Comic-Con that the Emmy-nominated fan-favorite, sci-fi series The Orville will move to Hulu exclusively for its upcoming third season. The Seth MacFarlane-created series will hit the streaming service as a Hulu Original in late 2020.

Disney's “The Lion King” marked its European premiere in Leicester Square in London, welcoming a host of royal and celebrity guests including Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The event was in support of the conservation work of HRH The Duke of Sussex through The Royal Foundation. Headlining the celebration were voice-cast members Beyoncé Knowles-Carter (Nala), Seth Rogen (Pumbaa), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar), Billy Eichner (Timon), Florence Kasumba (Shenzi), Keegan-Michael Key (Kamari), plus filmmakers Jon Favreau (director), Karen Gilchrist (producer) and John Bartnicki (co-producer), as well as several members of the team behind the film's music—songwriters Sir Elton John and Sir Tim Rice, composer Hans Zimmer, Producer Pharrell Williams and Lebo M.
