According to Variety, Disney's live-action remake of The Lion King has reigned supreme at the box office for the second weekend, bringing in $22.3 million in Friday's domestic ticket sales.
While The Lion King's updated soundtrack doesn't quite roar to life, it does manage to pull off most of the iconic music and take its place in the story's own circle of life.
Disney's “The Lion King” marked its European premiere in Leicester Square in London, welcoming a host of royal and celebrity guests including Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
