Tony nominated composer Dave Malloy has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a concept recording for his latest musical, Three Houses, which had its world premiere at Signature Theatre earlier this year.
Waitress, the Tony-nominated musical with an all-female creative team, is heating up the round at Broadway at Music Circus. It boasts an incredible score by Grammy winner Sara Bareilles and a book by screenwriter Jessie Nelson. It was adapted from the independent film of the same name by screenwriter Adrienne Shelly who, tragically, was killed only a few days before the film was accepted by the Sundance Film Festival. Its themes of redemption, love, perseverance, and courage are universally appealing. Like its unique pies, Waitress is a blend of sugar, spice, hilarity, and feel-good feminine power.
SHUCKED and ONCE star Scott Stangland will join the cast of the new musical The Royal Pyrate in the role of Black Sam Bellamy, the real life pirate captain of the Whydah, whose shipwreck was discovered off the coast of Cape Cod in 1984.

Signature Theatre announces the cast and creative team for the world premiere production of Dave Malloy's Three Houses, directed and choreographed by Annie Tippe. The musical will feature J.D. Mollison, Mia Pak, Margo Seibert, Henry Stram, Scott Stangland, and Ching Valdes-Aran. Performances begin on April 30, 2024.

Shucked has announced it will close on Broadway Sunday, January 14, 2024. A North American tour will launch Fall 2024, as well as productions in London’s West End at a Cameron Mackintosh theater Winter of 2025, and in Sydney, Australia in the Spring of 2026.

The post read: 'In an abundance of caution all post-show stage door activities at Shucked have been paused until further notice. We appreciate your support and can't wait to see you at the Nederlander soon.'
