Edie Carey Releases New Album 'The Veil'

Folk/Americana singer-songwriter Edie Carey has released her eleventh album The Veil. Produced by Scott Wiley, the album features Grammy-nominated friend and frequent collaborator Rose Cousins and Mai Bloomfield (Jason Mraz, Sara Bareilles). Edie Carey will celebrate The Veil on tour throughout the summer and fall.

It’s been a while since I’ve written a review for a local production, and what a treat it is to do so for Diamond Head Theatre’s Waitress. Once intended for 2020 and then indefinitely delayed due to Covid-19, ‘The Broadway of the Pacific’ was finally given its chance to mount this Hawaii premiere, and I personally appreciated my viewing of this performance, because it leaves room for discussion in terms of its strengths and what could, perhaps, see its improvements in.

Officially recognized on May 29th, the date former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg declared “Music Theatre International Day” in 2012, MTI is celebrating this milestone throughout the next year by showcasing the incredible talents of theatrical organizations around the world.

Shubert New Haven announces that Broadway’s NORM LEWIS will be the featured performer for the Shubert Theatre’s 2022 Gala on June 8. Chita Rivera – who was originally scheduled to headline the Gala – has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be unable to perform.
