Actors Theatre of Indiana has announced their next production – Violet. A moving musical featuring show-stopping anthems, ranging from American-roots to folk to gospel.

What did our critic think of: Grand Rapids Symphony Season Opens With Beethovens-Fifth, Sarah Change, and The World Premier of Immortal Beloved! I was fortunate enough to kick off another season with the Grand Rapids Symphony. The 2022-2023 season marked the anniversary season conducted by Marcelo Lehninger, the symphony presented Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Brunch Violin Concerto No. 1 with special guest Sarah Chang.  They also presented the world premiere of Immortal Beloved, a piece composed by Grand Rapids Symphony musician oboist Alexander L. Miller.

After a 15-year collaboration, MidAmerica Productions (MAP) has named Marc-André Bougie from Texarkana, Texas, one of its Honorary Composer/Conductors. He joins a roster which comprises only three other distinguished composer/conductors: Michael J. Glasgow (North Carolina), Terre Johnson (Georgia), and Michael John Trotta (New Jersey).

A cappella sensation Voctave will perform songs from its latest album at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts on March 9.

Better known as Mister Rogers from the hit PBS children’s television show series Mister Rogers Neighborhood, Fred Rogers wrote over 200 songs that reached millions of children and parents.

Chita Rivera has been announced as the host of United in Song: Celebrating the American Dream, a new New Year's Eve special on PBS. The special will also feature performances by Lea Salonga, Drew Gehling, Paulo Szot, David Archuleta, Judy Collins, Amber Merritt, Jencarlos Carnela, Deborah Cox, and The American Pops Orchestra.

CLUB44 RECORDS has announced that Voctave, the acclaimed a capella group known for their soaring harmonies and intricate arrangements, has released the new holiday album The Spirit of the Season: Deluxe Edition in digital, streaming and CD formats today, Friday, October 22.
