New York Theater Festival has announced the new musical HAD IT BLUE as its 2022 Winterfest winner for Best Production.   

The second annual Catalytic Sound Festival is a sprawling international affair, spanning 5 different weekends with versions taking place in Amsterdam, Vienna, New York, Chicago, Washington DC, and Trondheim.

International Contemporary Ensemble gives the world premiere performance of two new works by Lesley Mok and Chris Ryan Williams at Joe's Pub alongside a solo set by Lesley Mok, and Fay Victor's Flow to the Next on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 7:00pm. Commissioned by ICEensemble as part of their 2021-2022 “Call for __” Commissions Program, the new works include Mok's Stilled leaf-chatter and Williams's Odu: vibration 1.

International Contemporary Ensemble celebrates its 20th anniversary season in 2022-2023 with world premiere performances, POLYASPORA: 20th Anniversary Gala, and many other events.

Joe’s Pub has announced fall programming. This season presents incredible performances from Latine artists: Afro-Cuban jazz grooves from Dayramir González, an evening of Latin alternative music with Jessica Medina & Mai-Elka Prado, and more.

Brundage Park Playhouse will present LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL opening Friday, October 8th 2021. Based on the novel and the hit-movie of the same name, Legally Blonde: the Musical chronicles the journey of the famously perky Elle Woods, a fashion-savvy sorority girl who finds her life turned upside down when she is dumped by her boyfriend.

Each artist will receive the support of Ensemble musicians, rehearsal time, video and audio documentation, marketing support, and a paid commission all alongside performances of their pieces created with the Ensemble.

La MaMa has announced programming for June 2021, which includes the previously announced La MaMa Loves Cabaret with host Sasha Velour; Lottie Platchett Took a Hatchett, written and directed by Justin Elizabeth Sayre; La MaMa Kids: Nostalgia, A Toy Theatre Presentation, and more.

Today Hot Water Music release their new EP Shake The Shadows on Epitaph. Shake Up The Shadows sees the band – guitarist/vocalists Chuck Ragan and Chris Wollard, bassist Jason Black and drummer George Rebelo – crafting some of the most impassioned music of their career. Recorded at Black Bear Studios in Gainesville, with the band's live sound person Ryan Williams (who also produced their 2017 full-length Light It Up), Shake Up The Shadows is a truly collaborative effort despite the fact that member Ragan is currently based in California where he owns a fly fishing operation.
