The Public Theater kicked off another Shakespeare for the City season and Free Shakespeare in the Park at its 2026 Gala. Grammy Award winner and 2026 Tony winner Shoshana Bean headlined the special night, hosted at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park.

Roger Bart is scheduled to open the tour at the Bristol Hippodrome (8 October – 21 November 2026) as well as playing the Edinburgh Playhouse (2 December 2026 – 2 January 2027). 

Tony Award winner Roger Bart will reprise his role as Doc Brown alongside Australian actor Axel Duffy as Marty McFly in the first-ever UK tour of BACK TO THE FUTURE THE MUSICAL.

Tony Award winner Joshua Henry, currently starring in Ragtime on Broadway, will perform in his first-ever Dallas concert with the Plano Symphony Orchestra at the Meyerson Symphony Center.

The new musical Goddess can currently be seen in its New York premiere production at the Public Theater on Lafayette Street. Directed by the Public’s associate artistic director and resident director Saheem Ali, who is currently Tony Award-nominated for directing Buena Vista Social Club, Goddess is playing at the Public’s largest space by capacity, the Newman Theatre.
