Tonight, Paper Mill Playhouse will begin streaming Sing in a New Year!, the first show to be produced on the Paper Mill stage since the pandemic shut down the theater in March.

While the second LYRICS FOR A CAUSE didn't happen in March as planned due to COVID-19 shutdowns, talented young performers joyfully sang in a virtual cabaret held Friday night live from their own homes. The cabaret, which was hosted by Spotlight Kidz (Pottsville, PA), was a benefit event for the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States (MHAUS).

The second LYRICS FOR A CAUSE will be held tomorrow and will have a different look as talented performers with broadway and national tour credentials, as well as other very talented youth, spread holiday joy in this virtual cabaret as they raise money for the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States (MHAUS).

Last week, NBC aired its primetime special “One Night Only: The Best of Broadway.' The program raised a total of $3,051,297 to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

More than 40 people and puppets from the Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q have reunited in a special music video of the hit finale, “Only For Now.”

Paper Mill Playhouse is now accepting registrations for the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theater Presented by the Investors Foundation. Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 100 schools that respond. The deadline to register is January 15, 2021, at 5:00PM, and forms are available now online.
