BroadwayWorld has just learned that TINA - THE Tina Turner MUSICAL  has canceled performances through Friday, December 24. Shows are set to resume on Saturday, December 25.

The following performances of TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL are being canceled due to the detection of breakthrough COVID cases within the Broadway company: Friday, 12/17 (8pm) Saturday, 12/18 (2pm and 8pm) Sunday, 12/19 (3pm) Monday, 12/20 (8pm).

Tonight’s performance of TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL (Thursday, December 16 at 7pm) is being canceled due to positive Covid-19 test results within the Broadway company.

Nkeki Obi-Melekwe is an original Broadway cast member of TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL, which marks her Broadway debut, after drawing rave reviews for her portrayal of the iconic Tina Turner in the West End production.

TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL officially reopened at Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street) last night, October 8, 2021.

Tina - The Tina Turner Musical is rollin' back to Broadway! Rehearsals are underway for the Tony-nominated hit, which is led by Adrienne Warren in the title role, with Daniel J. Watts as Ike, Dawnn Lewis as Zelma, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe as Tina Turner at some performances, Tony Award nominee Myra Lucretia Taylor as Gran Georgeanna and Jessica Rush as Rhonda.

Broadway Week continued this evening on The Tonight Show! As Jimmy Fallon announced last week, the show will be celebrating Broadway's return during each episode this week. Next up, Adrienne Warren sang Private Dancer, which Fallon requested last week!

Stage Entertainment, James L. Nederlander and Tali Pelman, in association with Tina Turner, have announced that Tina - The Tina Turner Musical will star Nkeki Obi-Melekwe in the title role  beginning Tuesday, November 2, 2021. An original Broadway cast member, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe played Tina in the West End production and plays Tina at certain performances in the Broadway production as the Tina alternate.

Joshua Colley and Scott Evan Davis created something wonderful some years ago, and have made the decision to do it again, from many new points of view.

This week's show will feature Hamilton stars, Ari Afsar and Deejay Young. In addition to their roles in Hamilton, Afsar is a composer of the new musical Jeanette, and Deejay Young toured with Jordan Fisher as a featured backup vocalist. 

Rachel Potter (Evita, The Addams Family), and Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu, The Secret Garden) have teamed up to present a weekly virtual cabaret series called Quarantine Cabaret. The two best friends have joined forces to appear in concert online, and each weekly show features a new lineup of guests.
