Mean 'n' rotten Trunchbulls of the world: Watch out! When a?oeMatildaa?? takes the stage at the Media Theatre, students in Delaware County will be empowered to thwart bullies, inspire teachers, embrace reading and let their imaginations run wild.

'Matilda The Musical' will open the 2019/2020 Season at The Growing Stage (TGS), The Children's Theatre of New Jersey. Broadwayworld.com had the pleasure of interviewing Sean Quigley who plays Miss Trunchbull in the show.

Roanoke Children's Theatre has a new home for their administrative offices. The RCT offices are now located at 609 Campbell Ave SW and include something brand new to RCT a?" artist housing. To celebrate this move, RCT will host a ribbon cutting and tour on Wednesday, October 16 at 10 a.m.

New musical Between the Lines will begin performances on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 and officially open in May 2020 at Off-Broadway's Tony Kiser Theater at Second Stage (305 West 43rd Street).

Matilda: The Musical , will play from December 5-29 at the Historic Bangor Opera House. This classic Roald Dahl tale of a young girl in pursuit of the definition of family is sure to fill the bill for those who have made the PTC Holiday production one of their family traditions. For those looking for a night out without the kids, Penobscot Theatre Company will also offer a ridiculous, fully-improvised holiday shenanigan called A Kick In Your Dickens from December 12-29.

Stages Theatre Company (STC) is excited to launch its Capture the Memories Season of Theatre for Young Audiences with one of Roald Dahl's most heartwarmingly quirky stories, James & the Giant Peach.

The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre in Netcong opens its 38th season with Roald Dahl's MATILDA THE MUSICAL.  Running October 4th through the 20th with performances Fridays at 7:30PM, Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 PM, Roald Dahl's MATILDA THE MUSICAL features a book by Dennis Kelly, music and lyrics by Tim Minchin with direction by Stephen L. Fredericks, TGS's Executive Director, choreography by Jillian Petrie and musical direction by Stephen Fox.

Fairfield Center Stage continues its second season with the Tony Award-winning musical MATILDA, running October 11-20, 2019. All performances will take place at Roger Ludlowe Middle School, 689 Unquowa Road, Fairfield CT 06824. Fairfield Center Stage, under the leadership of Executive Producer Eli Newsom and Artistic Director Christy McIntosh-Newsom, has dedicated its mission to putting Fairfield 'center stage' by highlighting several of Fairfield's prominent venues with environmental theater.

Atlantic for Kids presents The Big One-Oh!, a world premiere musical based on the novel by Academy Award Winner Dean Pitchford (Fame, Footloose), with lyrics by Pitchford, music by Tony Award winner Doug Besterman (Thoroughly Modern Millie) and a book by Timothy Allen McDonald (Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach). Directed and choreographed by MK Lawson, The Big One-Oh! opens on Saturday, September 28th at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) and runs Saturdays and Sundays through October 20th.

Music Theatre International (MTI) Australasia in collaboration with AMICI Trust (New Zealand), OzTheatrics (Australia), and iTheatrics (New York), are presenting Junior Theater CelebrationsTM in New Zealand and Australia for thousands of musical theatre obsessed students ages 7-18. JTC New Zealand is being held at The Victory Centre in Auckland on September 13-14. JTC Australia will be held at The Civic Theatre in Newcastle on September 20-21. This is New Zealand's third annual Junior Theatre Celebration and Australia's fourth annual event.

Actor and entertainer Pamela Shaw, traces her journey from an obedient and deferential childhood to the independent and irreverent personality she has become, in this humorous and captivating musical memoir. Through expanded musical numbers and dance, spiced up with witty narrative and film clips, Shaw gets naughtier than ever in her funny, provocative, musically eclectic new show, Naughty with a Band, which comes to Feinstein's at Vitello's in Studio City for One Night Only on September 17 at 8:00 p.m.; doors open for dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Elmhurst Ballet School join forces with London's premier youth orchestra, The London Schools Symphony Orchestra (LSSO) to celebrate composer Eleanor Alberga's 70th birthday in a performance of her musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, first presented in London 25 years ago by the London Philharmonic and Franz Welser-Möst.
